What is a Computer?
Simply we can tell that
‘a machine for performing calculations automatically’, but in modern world all
definitions on computer may vary on new inventions that fells daily in computer
industry. We can see in some website that explaining about computer as ‘A
computer is a machine that manipulates data according to a set of instructions’.
In wiki dictionary describes as ‘a programmable device that performs
mathematical calculations and logical operations, especially one that can
process, store and retrieve large amounts of data very quickly’
A personal computer is a general purpose computer that is prepared to be used by
end users directly for their general purposes like. Word process, calculations,
email, internet etc.
A personal computer can be a desktop computer, laptop, palm etc. The most
personal computers are using Microsoft operating system, Mac OS, Linux and
Salaries also used. Intel is the mostly used processors in personal computers.
The IBM compatible PC which was introduced in 1981 was considered as the first
personal computer. This PC was first small, simple, accessible, digital,
inexpensive and automatic computer.
